Adult Self-Training
All are welcome to train at Circus Arts’ unique venue and training space in beautiful Byron Bay. It is suitable for both beginners and professional performers. A certain level of proficiency must be demonstrated on an apparatus prior to undertaking unsupervised training.
Apparatus
Our venue offers a variety of circus apparatus for self training. From silks, static and dance trapeze, lyra, rope, tumble track, mini and double trampolines, olympic size trampoline and tramp wall, to spanish web and cloud swing. There’s a variety of rigging points across the venue.

The training space is open Monday to Saturday, but there are some peak class times which are best to avoid. Please call reception to book & confirm daily availability, as some times may not be available.

During school holidays
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 4:30pm – 6pm

Single session
$15 – single casual session (up to 2 hours)
Prepaid packages
$60 – 6 week pass prepaid package

Prepaid
What to bring
Comfortable, close fitting clothing.
Shoes are required in the venue but will not be worn while participating in classes.
A water bottle – we have a filtered water fountain.
A hair tie – please tie back long hair and wear minimal jewellery (rings and bracelets will need to be removed for the duration of the class).
Best leave your valuables at home, their security cannot be guaranteed while classes are in progress.
Safety
We are big on safety. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make sure everyone – from our customers to our coaches – has a safe experience in every class no matter if we are at our indoor space in Byron or at a festival or short-stay.
All equipment undergos regular maintenance and rigging checks, and we use certified and rated equipment. Where aplicable, students where harnesses to assist learning safely.
Cancellations
Casual classes – a minimum 3-day notice is required to reschedule a class.
Term classes – no make-up classes are available. Term classes can not be rescheduled as they are offered at a highly reduced price. If you would like the flexibility of being able to reschedule a class, please purchase 5/10 class pack.
Play Space/Climbing Wall – a minimum 3-day notice is required to reschedule.
Public Holidays
Term bookings: If your class falls on a Public Holiday during the term, a class credit will be applied to your account to use on any casual drop-in class.
Troupe Bookings: Please check your schedule for alloctaed make-up sessions from Public Holiday closures.
Terms & Conditions
- Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- All bookings are non‐refundable.
- Class packs are valid from 6 months from purchase date - for 1 person only.
- If you cancel within 72 hours of the scheduled time, fail to show up, or do not participate on the day, the booking will be forfeited.
